Brachioplasty also known as an Arm Lift is a surgical procedure that is used to help remove the excess skin and fatty tissue from the axilla and upper arm. This procedure is normally performed in combination with liposuction which will remove the unwanted fat deposits. The remaining skin is placed back over the newly repositioned contours to create a more toned look. There are different variations of the Brachioplasty depending on each patient’s individual needs.
- Minimal Incision Arm Lift – This procedure is for patients that have minimal loose skin on the upper most portion of the arms. An incision is made in the axilla (arm pit) and the excess skin is pulled up and cut. The incision is hidden in the axilla area. There are no visible incisions on the arms.
- Extended Arm Lift – This procedure is for patients that have a lot of excess skin on the overall upper arm. The incision is performed on the inside of the arm from the axilla vertically down to the elbow.
